Honey Chilli Potatoes are widely known as a spicy delicious snack. It is an Indo-Chinese cuisine. It is a very addicting snack in which fried potato fingers are coated in a sweet and spicy sesame honey chilli sauce, leaving you with sticky fingers that you’ll be licking. . Today I will share this yummy recipe with you.
Ingredients of honey chilli potatoes:
For Frying Potatoes:
- 2 big size potatoes
- 3 tbsp cornflour
- ½ tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep fry
For Making Chilli Potato
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp crushed garlic
- 1 tbsp crushed ginger
- 2 tbsp red capsicum
- 1 tbsp dark soya sauce
- 2 tbsp cup onion
- 1 tbsp chili sauce
- 2 tbsp green capsicum
- ½ tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp red chili flakes
- 2 tsp green chili
- ½ tsp black paper
- 2 tbsp cornflour
- Salt to taste
- Cut a big size potato long and thin. As like French fries.
- Now the potatoes should be soaked in water for ½ hour, this will remove the extra starch from the potatoes.
- Now again wash the potatoes very well with cold water.
- Put the potato on a kitchen towel and wipe off the extra water.
- Take the potatoes in a bowl. Add 3 tbsp of cornflour and salt to taste.
- Mix the potatoes with salt and cornflour. Again mix it with ½ tbsp of oil.
- Now put a pan on high flame to deep fry the potatoes and put enough oil in it.
- When the oil is hot enough, add the potatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes over high heat. (I will double fry it).
- While frying, separate the sticky potatoes with a cut spoon or waiver.
- Remove it from the oil and place it on a paper towel after 2-3 minutes.
- Now fry the potatoes again on a medium flame for 4-5 minutes. When It is fry, pick it up.
- Put a pan on high flame and heat it well with 2 tbsp of oil.
- Then add 1 tbsp of ginger and crushed garlic. shake it for 1 minute and fry it.
- Now add 2 tbsp of sliced capsicum,2 tbsp of sliced onion,2 tsp of green chili, and fry it for 2 minutes.
- Then add 1 tbsp dark soy sauce,1 tbsp chili sauce, 3 tbsp tomato sauce, ½ tbsp white vinegar, ½ tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp chili flakes, ½ tsp black pepper, salt to taste.
- Shake it for a while and add 2 tbsp cornflour.
- After that, everything has to shake and be combined well.
- Now add the pre-fried potatoes and mix lightly with the potato sauce.
- Finally, serve the chili potato dish with roasted sesame on top.
