Crabs are revered worldwide as delicious and high nutritional food. Being a low saturated fat, crabs can be eaten safely. It contains vitamin C, Riboflavin, Niacin, Iron, magnesium, and Phosphorus. Ingredients of spicy crabs recipe
- Crabs -8 large
- Tomato puree-1 cup
- Onion sliced-2 large
- Garlic paste-2 tsp
- Green chilies crushed-3/4 tsp
- Ginger paste-2 tbsp
- Chili powder-2 tsp
- Coriander powder-1
- Turmeric powder-2 tsp
- Cumin powder-1 tsp
- Hot spice powder-1 tsp
- Bay leaves-2 large
- Cinnamon-1 stick
- Cardamom-4
- Cloves-4
- Coriander leaves
- Mustard oil-3 tbsp
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed pan.
- Add Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, bay leaves.
- When its smells are nice then add sliced onion.
- Fry the onion golden with garlic and ginger paste.
- Cut the crabs in half, on the other hand.
- Mix it with salt.
- When the onion is golden, stir in tomato puree until the oil is released.
- When the raw smell of tomato is gone then add all the powder spices and cook for 2 minutes.
- If needed, give a little water.
- Mix the crabs well with spices and give 3 cups of water.
- Add salt and cook it for 20-25 minutes.
- Then reduce the heat of the oven completely and spread the hot spice powder and keep it for -4 minutes.
- You can spread a little curled coriander leaves before it down.
Tips:
Preparing raw crab With your thumb, raise the flap below the crab’s body. Pull the top of the shell from the body with one hand while keeping the body securely in place. Remove the top shell. Discard the crab’s spongy, finger-like white gills. Cut the body in half. The big claws may be easily cracked open using a nutcracker.
